Ready for a more precise & scalable way to manage your most important date ranges on Wheelhouse?
This update is going to take your revenue management to the next level, and we’re excited to
finally
share these capabilities with you (as this was not an easy build!)Here are the top 4 things to know about your new
Events & Seasons Configuration
:#1 Highly customizable Events & Seasons
Your new Events & Seasons can be created to handle any important time range.
- One time: Create an easy way to manage an upcoming festival or one-off event
- Multi-Year: Or, create an event that includes the next 3+ years for a major holiday
- Year-over-Year: Or, create an event or season that repeats year-over-year
To create these, visit your
Events & Seasons Configuration
on either the Listing or Portfolio Settings views.Click into
Events & Seasons
to create your first Events and/or Seasons.
Once you have navigated to this section, click “
Add Event
” or “Add Season
”.Next,
add a name
& build out date ranges
for any event or season. For now, the one important distinction to note is:
- Seasons can not overlap other Seasons.
- Events can overlap Seasons, and even overlap other Events

#2 Instantly available across every Setting 🥳
Now, the real magic begins…
Once created, Events & Seasons are now available as sub-rules on every setting.
- Want to set a Minimum Priceforall major Events?
- Or, activate Historical AnchoringforHigh Season?
- Or, lower your Minimum Stayspolicy for theShoulder Season?
Visit any of your settings (e.g. Minimum Prices) and you will now see
Event & Season sub-rules options
.Now, you can quickly customize these important date ranges with exceptional precision.

#3 Customizable Base Prices for every Event or Season 😍
For a long time, your
Seasonality Setting
has allowed you to modify your Base Price
.Specifically, if you chose to leverage “Rule-Based Seasonality” you could set unique Base Prices, by month.
Now,
every Season or Event
you create can have its own Base Price
.This means you have a lot more control when creating your ideal rate strategy.

#4 Create across 1 to 1,000+ listings
Yes, you can create Events & Seasons from your Portfolio pages.
- Setting up a market with an Event or Season?
- Or, just hear of a soon-to-be announced event that will impact a particular neighborhood?
- Or, want to create a Seasonal Min Stay rule for your larger homes?
Simply scroll over to your Events & Seasons Settings column to create Events or Seasons across multiple listings 🏃♀️

Additional Functionality Notes:
Your current setup still works perfectly!
- When you create a new Event or Seasons, they will interact seamlessly with your existing Sub-Rules
- If you have rule-based Seasonality setup currently with month-specific pricing, when you add an Event or Season, these will/can overlay your existing monthly rules
- Of course, you can remove your Monthly Rules and leverage only Seasonal/Event rules, as well.
You can stack Events on Seasons
- As noted above, Events can stack on Seasons. For example, you could create a Winter Ski Season, and quickly setup a 4 night Min Stay policy
- Then, you can create a Winter Holiday Week which overlaps that season, and enforces a 7 night Min Stay.
- And, Events can even stack on Events (perhaps for a major festival where you want to protect the week AND the weekend, even more so)
- Seasons can not overlap with - or stack on - another season… a configuration decision we stand by :)
You can Copy/Paste Events & Seasons
- Have a new listing?
- From the Portfolio Settings Page, you can quickly add your Events & Seasons to this new listing.
- Simply select an existing listing, and click the “Copy Settings” to add existing Event & Seasons to the new listing.
- You can event copy Sub Rules (e.g. “Min Stays for New Years Eve”) as well.
